Our process
Every project begins with an interactive prototype and a detailed proposal. Once we have incorporated your feedback and received your approval, we build the solution with transparent milestone and time tracking, then handle testing, launch or delivery. Explore our case studies.
After you contact us through one of our forms, we define your project before you make any commitment.
Once the agreement is signed, we work with you from prototype to development.
We quality-check and deliver your project, after which you receive your SOLIS client card.
What you receive
We define your catalogue, customers, purchase journeys and operations before designing the experience. We then build the shop, its payments and automations and support you through launch. Explore these choices in more detail in the How we add value section just below.
From7’500 CHF
We clarify your offer, customers, objectives and constraints, then create an initial clickable prototype of the purchase journey.
We structure the categories, products, variants, filters, basket and checkout to make discovery and purchasing simple on every screen.
We translate your identity into a custom experience that builds trust, showcases the products and reduces friction through to payment.
We build the shop and configure a tailored administration interface for managing products, content, orders and day-to-day operations.
We configure secure payments, delivery methods and the automations included in the agreed scope, together with the integrations your business requires.
We test the catalogue, basket, payment and conversion tracking, then configure the hosting, domain and production launch.
Depending on your model, we can add subscriptions, CRM or ERP connections, logistics tools and advanced business automations.
How we add value
We do more than develop your website: we clarify your objectives, define the essential features (MVP) and organise the phases, budget and schedule to maximise its chances of success.
A custom solution requires a higher initial investment, but reduces subscriptions, licences and maintenance costs over time. Every feature meets a real need, so the solution remains under your control, scalable and free from the limits of a template.

Custom design starts with your identity, content and customer journey. Where a generic template quickly imposes compromises, it creates a coherent, distinctive experience without accumulating workarounds.

A generic template often carries unnecessary code, styles and dependencies. A custom build loads only the essentials, delivering fast, consistent and predictable performance as the project evolves.

Case study
Hella wanted to carry the salon experience into a premium, accessible online shop. We built its visual identity and purchase journey around the brand, leading examples from the market and its customers’ habits.
We combined examples from leading brands in Switzerland and Europe with Hella’s logo and colour palette.
We advised Hella on the shop structure and services that could simplify repeat purchases.

Frequently asked questions
Shopify, catalogue, payments and costs: useful answers before launching your online shop.
SOLIS brings design, development and SEO expertise together in one team to create fully custom solutions—never template-based. From our base in Martigny, we draw on more than 10 years of experience and over 100 completed websites and applications. You receive an initial interactive prototype with your proposal, then track each stage and the hours spent on your project through your client area.
We begin by defining your objectives, content and user journeys, then prepare an initial interactive prototype together with a detailed proposal. Once the agreement is signed and the deposit paid, the prototype enters an iterative phase: we refine it with you until you are completely satisfied. Development starts only after your full approval, so the intended outcome is clear before any code is written. Testing, launch or delivery follows, with a client area where you can view milestones, progress and the hours spent on the project.
The prototype supplied with the proposal is an initial clickable version of your future solution. It gives you a tangible view of the design, structure, user journeys and key content, while helping us estimate the scope, hours and budget accurately. It is free and carries no obligation. If you accept the proposal, it becomes our working foundation: after the deposit, we refine it as much as needed until you give full approval, and only then do we begin development.
Prices start at CHF 5,000 for a website, CHF 7,500 for an e-commerce site and CHF 10,000 for a mobile application or business software. The final amount depends on the features, content, automations and integrations that genuinely add value. Because the proposal is prepared alongside an initial interactive prototype, we can estimate the scope and hours based on something tangible rather than an abstract idea.
A 50% deposit confirms the project and starts the feedback and prototype-finalisation phase. We refine it until you are entirely satisfied; development begins only after you approve the design and user journeys. The final invoice is then adjusted to reflect the work actually completed: unused hours are deducted, and any additional hours are discussed and approved with you before they are incurred.

A standard Shopify theme works well for a straightforward shop, but workarounds, apps and scripts accumulate as soon as the brand, catalogue or purchase journey becomes more specific. SOLIS develops your theme around those real requirements instead of working around the constraints of an off-the-shelf theme. Your customisations remain under control as the shop evolves, without copying code after every theme update, while paid apps and unnecessary dependencies are kept to a minimum.
| Criterion | Custom SOLIS solution | Standard theme |
|---|---|---|
| Design and purchase journey | The experience is designed around the brand, catalogue and customers. | The shop uses the journeys and components provided by the theme. |
| Third-party apps | Useful features are integrated directly whenever that is the right approach. | Specific requirements are often covered by several additional apps. |
| Performance | Scripts and components are limited to the shop’s actual needs. | Speed depends on the theme, installed apps and their scripts. |
| Theme maintenance | Changes are integrated into a well-managed codebase. | Customisations may need to be adapted after a major theme update. |
| Scalability | The catalogue, automations and integrations can evolve together. | Future development remains straightforward while requirements fit the available options. |
| Recurring costs | Paid apps are selected only when they provide genuine value. | App subscriptions can accumulate as new requirements emerge. |
| Ideal use case | A distinctive brand, catalogue or purchase journey, with integrations and growth planned. | A standard shop to launch quickly with a straightforward catalogue and purchase journey. |
Yes. The shop is configured so you can manage the catalogue, products and orders in Shopify on a day-to-day basis. Secure payments, automations and integrations are selected for your markets and working practices. When a requirement is specific, we aim to integrate it cleanly into the sales flow rather than automatically adding another third-party app.
SOLIS development starts at CHF 7,500. Shopify subscriptions, platform or payment fees and any third-party apps remain separate. We identify them clearly in the proposal and favour built-in features where appropriate to avoid accumulating licences and subscriptions. Depending on the project, this approach can deliver meaningful savings over several years.
Once the prototype is approved, SOLIS develops the shop as agreed and integrates the copy, images and products supplied for that version. If those elements change during development, you will be able to update them yourself in Shopify after delivery. The technical structure also accounts for SEO, the mobile experience, performance and the conversion journey.
A template is a pre-designed visual and functional model, such as a WordPress or Shopify theme. It speeds up a standard project, but imposes a structure, components and often a predetermined set of dependencies. A custom solution instead begins with your objectives, identity and your team’s real working practices. SOLIS develops both the visitor-facing experience and the admin area used by your team. A content management system (CMS) is therefore not a third way to design a site; it is the tool that lets you manage its copy, images, pages or products without touching the code. In a SOLIS solution, the CMS is created or configured specifically to show only the fields and actions you actually need. For an online shop, Shopify can serve as the CMS while the theme, user journeys and visible features are custom-developed.
