Background: Romain Darioli
His journey
Naturally community-minded, Romain devotes a significant part of his free time to various associations and NGOs. In Martigny, he also served on the General Council for eight years, eventually chairing the environment, public works and urban planning committee.
After completing a Master’s degree in international relations, Romain is pursuing a Master’s in urban planning at the University of Lausanne, with a particular focus on geomatics, geovisualisation, cartography and data visualisation. (View a project example: the interactive map of Morges.)
He also spent a year in San Francisco as an attaché for technology and digital affairs at the Consulate General of Switzerland. Immersed in the local ecosystem—from Stanford, where he completed training in product–market fit, to companies such as NVIDIA—he absorbed new ways of thinking about digital products.
His role at SOLIS
At SOLIS, Romain is the lead contact in meetings and the primary contact for partners. He turns requirements into clear proposals and compelling interactive prototypes.
He then coordinates their implementation with the front-end team and supports projects throughout delivery, keeping human relationships at the heart of every collaboration. In person, he also retains an unofficial but essential responsibility: making sure nobody runs out of coffee ☕.
